
National City Christian Church is proud of its affilitation with the Washington Sinfonietta chamber orchestra. Made up of nearly 40 musicians, including professional and avocational musicians from the greater Washington D.C. area, the Washington Sinfonietta is the church's resident chamber orchestra and presents numerous concert events at the church as well as several off-site ensemble and small chamber group performances each season. They also routinely collaborate with the Choir of National City Christian Church in performance of major orchestral/choral works. Led by a team of Artistic Partners, including conductors Joel Lazar and Charles Miller, artistic director Marcus Jordan, and guest conductors, the Washington Sinfonietta strives to serve as a model of innovation in community classical musical organizations and to promote fine classical music in the heart of our nation's capitol.
