Dr. Fred Craddock at National City on Sun 9/25!

Dr. Fred CraddockDr. Fred Craddock will be the pulpit guest for the 10 a.m. service at National City Christian Church, 5 Thomas Circle, N.W., Washington, D.C., on Sunday, September 25. All are invited.

For more than six decades Dr. Craddock has enlightened, delighted, compelled, and engaged listeners with stories shared in the context of sermons. He is Bandy Distinguished Professor of Preaching and New Testament, emeritus, in the Candler School of Theology.  His books include Cherry Log Sermons, Craddock Stories, and Reflections on My Call to Preach. The Collected Sermons of Fred B. Craddock, and Craddock on the Craft of Preaching were published in 2011. 

Dr. Craddock was selected by Newsweek as one of the 12 most effective preachers in the English speaking world. 

80th Anniversary this Sunday!!!

Join us this Sunday, October 17 as we celebrate our 80th anniversary.

There will be ONE service beginning with a gospel sing at 9:30 a.m. followed by worship at 10:00 a.m. After the service we ask that everyone assemble on the steps of National City for a group photo to commemorate the event.

And don't forget to join us for luncheon in Scott Hall right after the photo. Tickets are $11 for adults and $7 for children.
